In a world increasingly accelerated and disconnected from its origins, this proposal emerges as a comprehensive platform that celebrates diversity, talent, and the voice of the people. Through Kaniabo Ka'í Express Yourself 2025, we seek to create a safe, interactive, and deeply meaningful space where young people, adults, artists, entrepreneurs, ancestral communities, and new leaders can share their worldviews, their knowledge, and their creativity without fear or censorship. AREITO (Blog)

In the Taino language, "Kaniabo" evokes protective spirits, the wisdom of ancestors who continue to guide the steps of current generations. Meanwhile, "Ka'í" can be understood as a cry of identity, of living existence. Together, these words form the spiritual and symbolic basis of a movement that transcends the artistic to become a cultural revolution. Thus was born Kaniabo Ka'í Express Yourself 2025, an inclusive, multicultural, and dynamic initiative that will take place in different parts of the Dominican Republic and Latin America, with the mission of rescuing, valuing, and projecting the cultural wealth of our peoples through festivals, art exhibits, experiential workshops, community forums, and digital platforms. https://www.cultura.gob.do

This event is not just a showcase for art, but a celebration of being. At Kaniabo Ka'í Express Yourself 2025, each participant will find the opportunity to leave their mark: from those who work with clay, textiles, and wood to those who express themselves through urban dance, muralism, poetry, or experimental music. The essence lies in allowing everyone to express themselves with honesty, strength, and pride. Because we believe that true social transformation is born when people feel seen, heard, and valued. And that is precisely the essence of Kaniabo Ka'í Express Yourself 2025: to recognize and amplify voices that have been historically marginalized or silenced.

The 2025 edition of this major event will include traveling activities, rural gatherings, festivals in coastal and mountainous areas, and live broadcasts on digital platforms for a global audience. The organizing team is made up of art professionals, cultural promoters, anthropologists, social activists, and community leaders who share a common vision: that Kaniabo Ka'í Exprésate 2025 will be a continental benchmark for cultural empowerment and citizen participation. Each venue will feature a specific theme linked to the elements of earth, water, fire, and air, promoting a connection with nature as a source of inspiration and regeneration.

In addition, the participation of emerging artists and rural communities will be encouraged through open calls, creative residencies, and support funds. This action is crucial, as one of the pillars of Kaniabo Ka'í Exprésate 2025 is the decentralization of art, extending it beyond the capital cities and major urban centers. Thus, bateyes, rural communities, working-class neighborhoods, and mountainous areas will have the central role they deserve in this transformative agenda.

A multilingual digital platform (Spanish, English, Russian, and Portuguese) will also be developed where the content of Kaniabo Ka'í Exprésate 2025 will be available to the world: interviews, documentary capsules, youth forums, photo galleries, recorded workshops, and full concerts. The idea is for the experience to go beyond the physical environment, but to continue throughout the year, connecting participants with opportunities for training, collaboration, and exposure.

Kaniabo Ka'í Express Yourself 2025 is not just an annual event, but a collective declaration of identity and cultural pride.
