In the Taino language, "Kaniabo" evokes protective spirits, the wisdom of ancestors who continue to guide the steps of current generations. Meanwhile, "Ka'í" can be understood as a cry of identity, of living existence. Together, these words form the spiritual and symbolic basis of a movement that transcends the artistic to become a cultural revolution. Thus was born Kaniabo Ka'í Express Yourself 2025, an inclusive, multicultural, and dynamic initiative that will take place in different parts of the Dominican Republic and Latin America, with the mission of rescuing, valuing, and projecting the cultural wealth of our peoples through festivals, art exhibits, experiential workshops, community forums, and digital platforms. https://www.cultura.gob.do

The organizing team is made up of art professionals, cultural promoters, anthropologists, social activists, and community leaders who share a common vision: that Kaniabo Ka'í Exprésate 2025 will be a continental benchmark for cultural empowerment and citizen participation. Each venue will feature a specific theme linked to the elements of earth, water, fire, and air, promoting a connection with nature as a source of inspiration and regeneration.

In addition, the participation of emerging artists and rural communities will be encouraged through open calls, creative residencies, and support funds.
